this movie gets mad props yo from boon.

has one of the all time great movie characters'the butcher' in it....a lot of it was based on truth too. the dead rabbits gang...(i have a dead rabbit on my arm and an irish flag too)....hellcat maggie was in it...she used to wear metal talons and had filed her teeth into fangs.

maggie the goat was also in it....she used to headbut a guy and then 2 others would pick their pockets....those were real people...

anyway, part of why i like it so much is cause thats when my ancestors came through....the whole ellis island thing...the five points......all of it...

kinda feel connected to it...it would be cool to trace it back and find out of any of my family was in the rabbits or were they this or that....

also, it's just a bad ass flick

So if I said this movie was complete shit, would you get upset?
I tried on several occasions to sit through it. Obviously I could not.
I thought it was an over acted piece of shit. I like Daniel-Day Lewis alot, excentric that he is but I thought he was horrible in this movie.

Yeah, yeah, opinions are like assholes . . .

Now Buckaroo Banzai, that is one hell of a motion picture!

Now were talkin, one of my all time favorites.

I also couldn't sit through Gangs, but then you guy's probably wouldn't sit through Romper Stomper. :)

Funny you mention Romper Mo, is up on my OnDemand, I was thinking of watching you know who. Now, I will accept your challenge and watch it when I get home at midnight.

As for Buckaroo, I was very serious. My wife to be hates it and thinks it is a big piece o'shit. ggrrrrrr

Sweet, let me know what you think.

I was serious too, Buckaroo is an absolute fucking classic that has never received anywhere near the recognition it should have, but ain't that the way.
The "Academy" wouldn't know a decent flick if it jumped up and bit them on the ass.

Great movie.

Absolutely first class.

It had a bit of everything, and did it all well.

Mojo - I sat through romper stomper, and it wasn't a bad film.

But gangs was in a different league.

OK, my dad was born in carlow, and my mother's maiden name was murphy.

Maybe that expleins it ;)
