I own vista, and I have one thing to say about it... IT SUCKS! It's a memory hog and there are not many improvements over XP. Here's how to get vista for free on your XP computer... Delete all of your required files!!!!!!!!!!

That's exactly why I got such a sweet deal on this laptop. I bought the only one HP was still putting XP on.

My dad works in the computer industry and he said that Vista isn't that bad as long as it's configured correctly. Whatever that means.

I bought a new HP laptop with Vista and i haven't noticed any real difference over XP.
I like some of the new styles and tools etc.
I was expecting it to be a fuckin bomb but its been pretty good so far.

Hubby has a new laptop with vista and he hates it. I've heard nothing but cursing when he's on it

Just so long as he doesn't draw his piece and shoot the thing, I think you're OK.

LMAO I have a pic somewhere of him doing that!!! Pointing it though. I asked if he was packing and he said yes, so I grabbed the camera and had to point the gun at it.

I'm not sure if he got vista off there and put XP on it or not. I'll have to ask.

I have Vista, and like it.

Running 8gig of RAM.

Zero issues.

Lex

Edit to add :

Vista 64 bit will recognise up to
128 gig of RAM. :)

I have Vista, I'm sort of in between with it.

I do like alot of the features and the new design, however I dislike the fact that there is no built in GIF player in the picture viewer.

The only other thing I dislike is the rumors I've been hearing of a possible update that will prevent any music that don't ahem buy from playing that would shut your computer down for a few hours.

No, Vista will recognize 4GB, but the better versions will recognize more. The more ram you have for vista, the better it runs.

I have vista on my laptop and haven't had problems yet, but I also have sp1 already.

I can figre vista out... it's not that hard... it's a memory hog and you have to have a shit load of ram to run it! it only recignizes 3 gigs, but you need 5 gigs in order for it to run halfway decent!
