Alright, so I've decided to start a thread where I post reviews of recent (as in none before 2006) movies I've seen.
I'll also be giving movies a rating out of ten, with 10 being the best and 1 being god awful.

Right on! Can't wait to hear what you have to say about them. It's rare I get to go see a movie.

RENT: The Movie

As far as musicals turned movies go I'd say Rent: The movie was a really good one.
The plot was realistic and gritty, full of love, sadness, gains and loss.
It did make me cry at the end, something that is pretty difficult to do.
The fact that half the main character has aids, and most of them either in the past or present were addicted to drugs (primarily Meth) definitely made it interesting, and who does'nt like a movie that shows the relationship between lesbians and gay transvestite's as normal.
All in all I give Rent: The movie a 8/10.

D-War: Dragon Wars

Normally I'm a fan of both Dragon's and Asian cinema, so this, being a Korean movie about Dragons would seem to be something right up my alley.
However after watching the film I was thoroughly disappointed and honestly wanted my money back.
The movies storyline was essentially crap, some reincarnated Korean warrior has to save this chick with a Heaven soul thing from an evil dragon so the good dragon can eat her so it can go to heaven.
That said, the movie did have some pretty good graphics in the few lacking battle scenes between the various dragons and the US military.
All in all I give D-War: Dragon Wars a 3/10.
