Downloaded it awhile ago, and just bought it on blue ray. Did any of you see the extra scene and alternate ending?
I wont blow it for those who haven't seen it, but they shouldve gone with the alternate ending.

I was disappointed in the whole thing. Great effects, fucked up what was a really good story. It's supposed to be a nihilistic flick, not a utopian one.

I would like to see it, but I am really afraid I will be dissapointed. I read the book and really liked the book, everytime I watch a movie that was a book I read I usually feel empty afterwards. But I would like to see it none the less.

Hubby said it follows the book pretty good, plus they ended it like the book did. I still liked the alternate version better.
Also with the blue ray disc(not sure all are like this) there's extras on it. We watched why they made it like it is, the background on it. They went to the CDC and got info from them etc.

It did not follow the book at all, ESPECIALLY the ending, where he is supposed to die when the new society of vampires gets its shit together and decides to start fresh without the guy killing them all.
I re read the book right before I saw this version of the movie. the Charlton Heston version, The Omega Man, was MUCH more in keeping with the novel.

He's at the other end of the house. So I asked him to stand so I can do some bodily harm. He's like wtf, why. LOL
He said he didnt read the book, it's what he was told. He probably wasn't listening and only heard part of the conversation.

Hey your husband only hears parts of conversations also? Sometimes I really wonder about my wife, she will say we have to do this tonight, I reply, since when. Ugh I told you two weeks ago about it, I dont think she really tells me, but she says she does. She says I only hear maybe half of what she says or something like that, I wasnt really listening.
True GN, Omega Man was so much better.

GN Id like to read it, he is very slow when it comes to reading. Might not see the book for a year LOL
Gunner, you dont pay attention either. It's that broken chromosome you males have. But we love you even though you are broken. Women like to neuter, I mean nurture the broken souls.

I think you had it right first with the neuter vckums.
My lease is almost up on my truck, for three years I have told my wife when it is up I want a diesel and we will drive it till the wheels fall off. Now all of a sudden we are getting a mini van, and I get to drive her blazer. I told her when we first got together you just grabbed the end of the sac, slowly you have secured a more firm grip. Now with that you have taken the sac at the top and ripped the fucker off, seriously a mini van, ugh. I will probably love it though after we have it.
Maybe if you women had anything interesting to say, and werent nagging most of the time you talked to us we would listen. Just saying thats all.

Although will smith played the part well and the movie as a whole was well shot and stuff...
They did a real piss poor job of the story, but that is mostly the way when you've read the book.
Read the book. It's a stunning piece of work.
