A piece of Antarctic ice measuring 220 square miles has collapsed, and an ice shelf about the size of Connecticut is hanging by a thread because of global warming, the British Antarctic Survey said today. "We are in for a lot more events like this," one professor said.

I couldn't get the video to play. Wish it was a sharper image to really see the lines better. I've seen ice break into straight lines when we would get it here, but I'm sure it's not the same as that huge chunk.

i dunno about a DEW, but it sure has broken *very* cleanly along quite some distance.
even the corner you pictured above, look how flat the edges are, how square the corner is...

ive never seen ice break so cleanly before as its usually all jagged random lines and rough uneven edges to the breaks.

its like someone cut through it all nice and clean like :shock:

Well first of all they didn't count on anybody figuring this out so quickly. Its possible the British weren't clued in on the project and weren't supposed to take the pictures.

But the purpose of cutting of a huge slice of Antarctica is to reinforce the "Global Warming" fantasy to keep us in a constant state of fear to include:

Global warming
Islamic terrorists
Asteroids
Planet X

and I imagine before too long the government will tell us that we are being invaded by aliens from space. And that the best way we can fight the aliens is to turn in all of our weapons so that the aliens won't feel threatened.

Our government is a gigantic train wreck going somewhere to happen. Most insiders know that. When the economy collapses which shouldn't be too long from now, life will get very interesting.

When your taking a picture of something this massive, I could see why the edges would appear perfectly strait from a close horizontal perspective. But looking down at the edges of the the ice from the sky you can see the breaks aren't perfectly strait. Just a different perspective view.
