compared to other bodies ive done, this one turned out pretty average.

i think two weeks of 40c weather affected my masking tape because i got a bit of paint bleeding under the edge of the stripe, and being a bit of a rush job i didnt do a big enough blend from orange into yellow.

anyone familiar with the cartoon "drawn together" will recognise ling-ling on the bonnet.

It started out as a clear plastic tub-like shell, i had to trim it out carefully, cut cooling holes + engine holes, mount it properly on the truck, then prep it, put ling ling on the bonnet + then paint it.
finally, some decals for a finishing touch.

its ling-ling from the show "drawn together".
all the characters in the show are a rip off of some other cartoon but theyre all a little twisted.
he speaks in a mix of jibberish japanese and broken engrish.

i just looked him up on wiki and it says his religion is scientologist LMAO!

Lex: you can get some pre-painted bodies but most people get the clear ones and paint them.

you paint the INSIDE of the body so that in crashes it doesnt get scratched off, and because the plastic gives a really nice high glossy finish to the paint job.

mojo, if i put the two speed back in the transmission it'll do about 80kph in around 5 seconds. possibly higher if i gear it up more.
but at the moment im running a single speed so its race legal.

i have a 2 speed touring car that'll do 70mph in 4.5seconds though :)

the 2speed monster trucks i have will get about 80k's in ~6 sec.

heres a video i made of me + my mates cars doing speed runs in front of my sports radar

its from about 18mth ago, and the engines were capable of 60mph but had seen over 40 litres / 10gal of fuel and were getting a bit tired and down on power.

its hosted on my mates account.

my car is the blue and yellow one which i found to have a loose steering part causing it to wander at high speeds.

from 12 - about 1pm is lunch (usually bbq + drinks on site)
1pm - 4.30pm is 2x finals per class.

15minute final requires a pit stop for fuel after about 7-9 minutes.

ill be the festively plump dude with long hair + a lemans adelaide cap, standing by the timing sys under the large metal drivers stand.

thats me, holding my monster truck.

Yeah sorry man, we did end up down that way (maslins) at my brother in laws and the beer flowed just a lttle to freely.
