Why my kid can't wear a halloween costume to school or have a halloween party BUT they can do an Easter one. WTF! This is a public school too.

Dressing as Batman isn't permitted but having a party that celebrates Jesus is ok.

It makes my head hurt.

Look at it this way: Easter was stolen by the xians in order to entice pagans to join them.

The real holiday is about the goddess Eostre -- who happened to have a rabbit that laid eggs.

It's still religion, but it's not really xian, and really doesn't have anything to do with Jesus. They didn't mention him at my daughter's public school; just eggs and rabbits and shit like that.

I think ti depends on the school.

I'm pretty sure the schools around here don't have an Easter celebration.
Though most of them do allow a Halloween party, though some of them will use the term Harvest festival because some conservative Christian's and Muslims somewhere got pissy about Halloween because it was not only originally Pagan, but went from being Pagan to being Secular without being really Christian.
