OK, I just weighed my self for the first time in months. Last time I weighed in I was at about 235lbs. I am up to 266lbs! Damn you food and lazy winter! It just hit me that I need to do something about this extra me I have! So I'm looking for some tips other then cut calories and go to the gym, cuz I gotz that planned! If any of you have some special tips and tricks of the diet trade I NEED THEM!!

I plan to lose about 3lbs a week. I know 2 is the healthy approach but I really want to slim down in like 12 weeks. My target is the 230 range. Well I will update weekly, as that's when I will weigh in (every wednesday).

Sorry if this falls in the category of "tips corey doesn't need" but.....if you drink soda, STOP.

Replace every soda you drink with water (preferably), unsweet tea or black coffee.


If you drink a lot of soda, this alone will knock the 3+ pounds a week off ya.

Great tip! I've kinda done that. What I've done is stopped drinking that high sugar fruit juice and replaced it with hot tea and ice water.

I just hit the gym for the first time in SIX MONTHS and I feel like I just fought a fucking bear man....but so far (2 days :lol: ) I have been able to keep my calorie intake at like 1300-1500 and I feel fine.

You could do what I did.
Stop eating for all but one day of the week.

If I could go from 285 to 230 in 2 months from that, I'm sure you'd meet your goals even sooner.

Also, on a separate note, in case you're wondering, I weigh 149 currently, trying to get down to 145 within the week.

Wow! No no im good, I wanna take it slow mate. Im also throwing out all my ciggies, I figured might as well get all heathy and stuuf :D . In that time frame did you work out at all Iori?

No, not really.
I started walking about four months after it and did do some weightlifting in school for five months about a year after the initial weight loss.

Thanks Mojo! So I hit the gym yesterday and today my whole body feels as if I where chewed up and spit out by a very large and pissed off crack head bear.....

Sorry I don't have any advice for you -- I lose weight when I'm sick, but I've never dieted.

Thanks GN! I think its going great! Ive been able to cut back on the calories and stuff. I have not hit the scale yet, but will do so on Wed and let you all know how im doing!

OK, I had to do it. I had to check the scale. Its only Monday morning and im DOWN 4 POUNDS!!! I have on my weight loss schedule that on the 19th I should be down to 263 but today im sitting at a nice 1 POUND past my goal for the 19th.

Its wednsday so its been a week since I started this diet thing. So far what I've just started cuting my calories down to the 1300-1500 range by eating more fruits, yogurt, and lean meats. I've also cut out most of my drinks that have colries in them. I've been drinking mainly ice water and hot tea, but I still enjoy a glass of milk a day. I started exersising on Friday, was way to soar to do it saturday or sunday, and started back up on monday. I've been able to go three days in a row and I'm still going strong! It's really hard to fight those munchie cravings, but if they get to bad all I do is reach for an orange :D . I'm down to 158, thats almost 10 pounds in a week. I think it might me water weight, but I have been drinking around 8 glasses of water a day. One week down 11 more to go! 8)
