THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION IN TIMES SQ. AT 0345 EST. IT HAPPENED ON 43RD AND 8TH AT THE MILITARY RECRUITING STATION

ALL TRAFFIC DIVERTED

46TH TO 42ND CLOSED BETWEEN 6TH AND 8TH

ALL SUBWAYS ARE BEING DIVERTED

thats all the article says...press conference now saying it was a dude on a bike or some shit....they don't know what kind of device it was but that it was placed in an ammunition box. so far they don't know what the bomber looks like....

they're asking anyone that knows something to call the tip line.

mayor is saying we live in a world where our freedoms are on the line..etc etc....

there was a witness that saw a guy on a bike but didn't really get a look at him.

mayor is saying the city is safe. cops are doing a wonderful job. not gonna speculate on anything.

they're concerned and are working with federal authorities. all the evidence is being assesed by technicians....
nobody was at risk.

pleased to have the recruiting station there. small police station right next door.
