Those of you who know me are aware of the fact that MANY things fucking piss me off.
However, there is one that puts a bug up my ass faster than just about anything else.
I absolutely fucking HATE it when a member of a group that is often "discriminated" against preaches about how they are "just as good" as every other member of society UNTIL it comes time for them to "benefit" from the very thing that is the "root" of the so-called discrimination.
First, I'll talk about the "African American minority".
For many many decades, blacks had to fight to be considered equal to whites. Select members of the black race were victims of everything from race based murder to being treated like "animals" through making them use separate "facilities" from everyone else.
Most of these folks wanted NOTHING but to be ACCEPTED by society as a human being.
But, somewhere along the line, another select group of blacks figured out that they could actually benefit from the color of their skin whenever they chose.
For evidence of this in today's society, I point you in the direction of ANY speech by Jesse Jackson (or the like).
Every time he opens his mouth, he spews some bullshit rhetoric about how oppressed the black man is in today's society and how they are equal to any other member of society. Then, in the same breath, he typically goes on to preach about all the little "benefits" the black man should be afforded simply because he is black.
I may be wrong, but isn't that basically saying that the black man is a "special case" who deserves "special treatment"??
And, from there, we move on to the beloved (and oh-so-PC) "African American".
What the fuck?
Just what percentage of the black population living in America has even BEEN to Africa? Much less having been BORN there?
What the hell is wrong with just being a fucking American?
Even better, how can a group be "just like everyone else" when they make every effort to remind the rest of the world that they AREN'T just like everyone else?
I could go on to the bullshit that is "affirmative action", but I don't feel it's necessary.
Another group that is guilty of this same shit is the select group of homosexuals who feel the need to CONSTANTLY remind everyone around them that they are gay.
Honestly, what is the fucking purpose of a "gay pride" parade? Is that shit necessary?
It what way does getting half naked (as some do) and flaunting around town by the thousands exhibit the behavior of the "normal American citizen"?? (By the way, if you are ever doing this in my town and you hear me blasting my horn and yelling "MOVE YOU FUCKING UPPITY QUEERS", it's not because you are gay, it's because you are fucking keeping me from getting to where I want to go.)
And what about the tremendous amount of praise and popularity a "celebrity" gets when they "come out".
Really now, how many people gave a damn about Ellen Degeneres (sp?) before her "coming out episode"??
Chances are, if you knew who Ellen was, you were an insomniac with a passion for the late night stand-up comedy routines that flooded the television channels on Friday night.
Let's not even talk about the t-shirts, bracelets, bumper stickers and other "gay and proud" propaganda that resides in every city within these not-so-United States.
I am all for treating everyone equally but DAMN, why should anyone treat you "fairly and equally" when you go out of your fucking way to remind the rest of the country that you are "special" and deserve special treatment?
It is my personal opinion that the only people ANY of these groups have to blame for the current "public opinion" of them is THEMSELVES.
If you want to be gay, be gay and shut the fuck up about it.
If you are black, be black and proud and shut the fuck up about it.
If you are an American and you want the benefits that "title" affords you, be fucking American and not "Irish American" or "African American" and shut the fuck up about it. Yea, you fucking "European American" assholes fit in there as well.
If you want special treatment then fucking admit it and quit trying to USE "discrimination" or some other fucking excuse to get what you want. All it does is pisses those of us who KNOW we aren't special off.
Sure, there are fucking bigots everywhere these days.
However, they also come from EVERY SINGLE "GROUP" of people around the globe.
There are white bigots and there are black bigots.
Gay and straight.
Deaf and blind.
Handicapped and mentally retarded.
