i think mojo brought this up yesterday....it definately deserves it's own thread.....this is the og fucking gang movie....

----plot outline----
A gang called The Warriors are framed for killing a gang leader trying to unite all the gangs in the area. With other gangs gunning for them they must get back to the home turf of Coney Island... Alive.

Yep that movie is killer.
For its time i dont think any others of a similar genre have ever come close to it.
2 others which are pretty cool, the Wanderers and an aussie gang flick called Romper Stomper.
Im getting all 3 tonight to watch when the kiddies are in bed.
I couldnt find Death Race 2000 at my local, i'll have to keep looking.

I've only seen it once and I watched it with two dudes from the area the movie takes place! God we got shit faced and the movie rocked,plain and simple, it rocked. Classic

romper stomper is teh roxors too but not as good as the warriors..for the longest time i thought i was the only one that knew about the classic that is that movie...people just don't recognize....

Yep that movie is killer.

I couldnt find Death Race 2000 at my local, i'll have to keep looking.
i watched another ausssie gang movie recently that wasnt too bad, it was set in perth but i cant remember the name.
the cover has mauri lookin dudes covered in tat's.
damnit! i hate it when i cant remember the name :(

Was it "Once were Warriors", if so thats a great movie, its a Kiwi movie though.

its about a gang that goes out to some place, then finds themselves on the wrong side of the tracks with a whole bunch of other gangs trying to hunt them down.
