Somehow, I doubt they'd go through with it.
The Feds can put a whole lotta pressure on a state that wants to break free.
Believe me, I've been wishing Cali would do it for years. I'd love to see the Feds do w/out our tax base.

If Montana seceded I wonder how long until Hawaii and Alaska and Vermont decided to.
On top of that I wonder if the dream of Cascadia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascadia_%28independence_movement%29) would then be realized.

I wonder what would happen if the Supreme Court did decide that the second amendment only applied to militias or whatever, I mean would Montana be the only one to secede.
How would the government handle it, since technically the states are allowed to do so and since we support secession in several places throughout the world for diplomatic reasons the government really could'nt be opposed to it.

In my opinion, if the supreme court said we dont have the right our second amendment guarantees. I dont think they federal government or the Montana state government will have to worry about what they will do. If we are told we dont have the right, then I think all hell will break loose, I truly believe that would be the final straw drawn by old big brother.
