Saw Jumper last week and i went thinking i probably wouldnt like it and was pleasantly surprised.
Its not going to go down in history but was pretty good entertainment wise.
Anyone else seen it?

It looks like something I'd like to see, but I don't have the leisure to go to a theater.

I'll wait for it on DVD. By that, I mean my neighbor knows a guy ...

Yeah we dont get to the movies often, try finding a babysitter for four kids under 11, lol.
The movie:
Pretty good storyline, excellent FX, acting not bad, the young guy was pretty good in fact. And just a slight possibility of the ending left open enough not to disappoint but just enough that there may be a sequel.
I recommend it for a quiet night in with a few brews.

io9's review (http://io9.com/354131/warning-you-may-hate-hayden-christensen-in-jumper) of it wasn't so good. In fact, totally the opposite of what you said, mojo.

I've never read a review that i agree with yet.

I think reviewers try to hard sometimes. Hell my wife even enjoyed it and she likes shit like the color purple and terms of endearment.

:D

As I recall, for the first two weeks it was out, the critics HATED Star Wars.

Critics: those who can, do; those who can't, criticize.

I saw jumper not long ago, it was rather cool. I agree with Mojo as far as reviews go I'd rather see it for myself then decide if it was properly dubbed as crap.

problem with reviewers is that more than likely they are reviewing movies that they would normally not go to.
reviews should be written by the people that actually watch those particular genre's regularly imo.
I cant remember seeing to many good reviews for movies that ive liked over the past few years.

the missus and me went to the gold lounge at the cinema's a week ago and seen it.

gold lounge -aah, comfy recliner seating with plenty of space, ill have a coopers pale ale halfway through the movie and the wife will have a coke at the same time please.

it was what i expected. i thought it would be good but not spectacular.
i enjoyed it, although it did seem too "flashy" with the images flickering at a zillion miles an hour like a bad subliminal message.

but pretty cool, i give it 7/10 clapping smileys
