Our gas and electric bill come combined. December was the highest I've ever seen it at a bit over $400. We had a roomate at the time, but since he's left it's about $200 now.

I have gas heaters, but my apartment is on the south side of the building and gets the sun all day, plus it's well-built to code, so I've never used a heater in the whole year we've been here.

Everything else runs on electricity, and since I have a subsidized rate for being low income, my total electric bill has never been more than $25 a month for a two bedroom apartment.

about 200 ish for electricity, and about 60 for gas.

being summer and having many days in a row over 36c (around 100F) we have a lot of fans going, and one window mount A/C in the lounge.

we try not to run the ac very much in the summer. i like it but my wife likes the 'fresh' air...

sometimes i think it would be cheaper and more convenient for my missus to live in a walk in fridge.

i dont mind the A/C but i tend to just use a fan and deal with it instead of sitting in my lounge room, half frozen from the blaring A/C in the middle of summer.

Got a new hot water tank installed before winter and my gas bill is now HALF what it was last year! Runs me about $ 130 bucks a month..the electricity is about the same. Must remember that we hover around -10 to -20 or more temperature wise.
