And, there is quite likely a good reason for that....

What are you favorite racial slurs? (aka: fuck political correctness)

Now, I don't mean this from a "level of damage" standpoint, I mean your favorite in terms of silliness and lack of any true "sense".

For me

"moon cricket" (black people) -- can anyone PLEASE explain this to me??? I first heard it at 19 and I am still baffled by this. From what I understand, it is quite offensive to some. Still, if anyone ever called me a moon cricket, I don't think I would possibly be able to muster any anger amidst the hysterical laughter.

"cracker" (us honkies haha) -- Again, one I am a bit confused about. I have heard many explanations for this one from the "crack' of a whip to the color of a cracker.

I love the sound of silly racial slurs in the morning........

Hmm ive been called many things, most of them appropriate. :D

"Skippy" is one that white australians who were born here get called. lol. That one always makes me laugh.

Ethnic australians get called "wogs". Most of my wog mates couldnt give a shit getting called that.

Aboriginal australians i think found the word "coon" most offensive.

I don't know why people get so offended by a label, just seems
a waste of energy to me.

Something black people have called me in an argument:

Peckerwood

WTF is that?

Peckerwood isnt really a racial slur. It is more a slur in general. Think along the lines of the male anatomy and some of the slang terms for that "member"

Yo Mama

It's used exclusively for whites here. Though I think the proper term of address for a woman is "featherwood."

Still, WTF?

Nothing I post will make sense to any of you.

Don't make assumptions! LOL

anyway, I like to learn, so let's hear some of your weird slurs.

It's kind of region specific, and as with a lot of Asian languages, tone and inflection carries a lot of meaning. For example, we call Chinese people "Cina". That's ok and politically correct. But the politically incorrect term is also "Cina". The difference is in the tone and inflection and there's no way for me to convey that through text.

It's also the case with Malays. The local word is "Melayu", but with the wrong tone, "Melayu" can be an insult.

The only clear case is with Indians. The slur is "Keling". An even heavier slur is "Keling Pariah" -- reserved for use only amongst the Indians themselves, unless machetes are your thing.

Oh, yeah... Chinese people here really hate to be called "Cina China". The "Cina" in this case is the one with the negative tone, and when you add "China" to it, it more than doubles the effect.

We also call white people "Mat Salleh". But it's not a slur. It's the proper term. Chinese people call white people "Gwai-lo" or "Kwai-lo". It's not a slur, but it translates to "white ghost". Hell, everyone's a ghost to the Chinese. Malays are "malay-kwai".

My grandma sometimes call Indians 'Hindu'. These days it's no longer considered a slur. Pre-independence it was.

Indians sometimes call Malays "Natans". The meaning is unclear, even to the Indians themselves.

Other variations of the stuff I've already said include 'Cina Bukit' (Hill Chinese), 'Melayu Kampong' (Village Malay) and 'Keling Mabok' (Drunk Indian). The last one is a special case. The Indians will refer to a messed up drunk within their own ranks with a more insulting term -- kunji kara kupeh'. I'm a bit fuzzy on the actual meaning. It's either 'drunk-ass dog' or 'drunk piss-stained dog'.

or 'drunk piss-stained dog'.

Skippy?? hahah

WTF is a wog?

Coon, yes it is deemed rather offensive here in the states as well.

In fact, I personally find slurs such as "coon", "porch monkey" and "jungle bunny" to be FARRRRRR more offensive than the dreaded "nigger".

Though, one can find the humor in "porch monkey" (see Clerks 2) whereas it's fairly hard to find in the others.

WOG generally refers to italian or greek heritage here. i think it was originally considered a friendly term but was targeted by the pc crowd as racist, but guys i know of italian and greek heritage dont have a problem with it at all.

Well he is "taking it back". I saw a shirtonline that had the saying Porch Monkey 4 Life on it. I doubt anyones dumb enough to wear it here though.

Although there's a few people I'd love to toss that shirt on and let them out on a corner in Oakland.

Ah, so much like "WOP" (without papers) here in the states.

That's another one I find pretty offensive.

"Guido" is, however, quite humorous.

Wow! Drama on the high seas! A cover up and more conspiracy.

I'm dying to know who JL was fussin and feudin with, but I suppose that's "classified."

Who's next, though. For whom does the bell now toll?

As I recall, a Chinese co-worker called an obnoxious guy in the department, (phonetically) "say malow" which he said means dead monkey.

Then, I was three and my mother sent my father to the butcher shop to buy some meat, and he brought me along. Apparently, he learned never to use racial slurs because I looked up at the butcher, pointed to him and said, "Is that the polak, daddy?"

I'm pretty sure it was JL and Ritzmann who were having the little tiff.

Is it just me or does the one who calls himself "infinite" love to throw his two cents into every stitch of "drama" over there?

He claims to be trying to stop drama but EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a thread he happens to find "insulting toward the staff" he jumps in, plays god and proceeds to create even more drama.

I know, just before I left, he followed me around and repeatedly tried to instigate "fights".

Idiot.

I fear my sanity is running faster than I can keep up.
