View Full Version : Another Banned One

Yo Mama
01-27-2008, 12:49 PM
Yes, it's true, MM was banned from ATS. But here I am, after mojo told me this was around.

Note to self: claiming a site denies ignorance is not the same as actually denying it. Sigh.

Yo Mama
01-27-2008, 12:54 PM
Oh, BTW, I sincerely hope that I will not be told to butt out of faith discussions. that would really peeve me. Anyone who knows me, knows that they may not like my point of view, but I will never make a personal attack.

I also hope that I can use my favorite avatar ever here, without being told it "offends" some people's delicate sensibilities.

Oh, and I have to say one more thing: Fuck. Hell. Shit.

Thank you. We now return you to the thread.

Yo Mama
01-27-2008, 01:14 PM
Yes, it's true; I'm too lazy to edit.

I forgot to mention why I changed my username:

My ex and his cyberstalking skank found ATS and were using posts against me in court again. So I have to have a whole new identity so I don't show up in Google searches.

I'm sick of the two of them. I wish they'd get a life and leave me alone.

Yeah!!, glad your here, you pariah you.
seriously thanks for joining us, its people like yourself and the others here who truly deny ignorance and dont just use it as a slogan.

Now, is there anyone who needs poking with a fork?

mojo

Glad to have ya fellow atheist.

Seeing as how your ex and his "new bitch" are using shit against you, I think it best that no one even mentions the former name here. That way it doesn't get indexed by google.

It's a safe bet that AmKon will NEVER be allowed to be mentioned at the other site so that should keep ya safe from being found again.

thanx for joining and, just as a note, your avatar is offensive. Please change it so i don't have to.

Thanx,

By FSM! You nearly gave me an apoplexy. My heart sank when I read that -- it was almost exactly what was said to me when they said to take it down at the other site.

Don't do that to a girl. Woman. Whatever.

JiveTurkey

Haha

I'm sorry, I had to. :P

I am well versed in the way the "staff" of that other site talks to the members.

I don't think I could even begin to count the number of times I got u2us that began "Um, yea. I think it's time we had a little talk"

Almost every u2u from them reminded me of being dumped by a significant (or insignificant) other.

Yo Mama

What got me was that the only times I was "warned" it was in private so it didn't seem much like a warn. Just lends credence to my conspiracy theory about the site -- if I'd REALLY done something to violate the T&C I would have been publicly warned. I wasn't. So it really seems like a cover up.

I'll do a post about my take on the possible conspiracy later. I have a toddler pestering me right now.

Aw, six, I didn't know about this place until I'd found someone to send U2Us to a few people on my friends list for me, with an URL of a site I went to after I was booted. Good ol' mojo came over and told me this place was here, and I'm SO glad to have found it.

Steve-O, of course I remember you! Haven't been banned yet, have you?

And Firestar, thanks for the PMs. So much easier to type that than U2U. LOL

Ew! You're stinking up my thread with your devil fruit!

This is my country's secret weapon. It's what made the British leave, not just leave, but recognize our sovereignty. That's why around these parts we call it "The King of Fruits" :D

We have refined this into something more insidious, our very own nuke, called tempoyak.

http://semende.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/tempoyak-smende.JPG

It doesn't smell bad, and is actually sweet. But that's the bait. I said it's like our very own nuke. This is true. Eating too much will give you lots of gas. Smells worse than the original product. Also, quite explosive when kept tightly in a bottle and left in the heat.

Yo Mama
01-28-2008, 06:47 PM
I don't know how I missed that when I was on Koh Phanghan and then in Bangkok, but I'm glad I did.

The spaghetti with pineapple in the sauce was bad enough.

Iamsix

WHAT?????? How could they do that to spaghetti?

Yo Mama
01-28-2008, 06:52 PM
It's Thailand. I have no idea.

And I have a sneaking suspicion I was fed dog in my "hamburger." It wasn't cow. Nope. Not cow. Scary.

Water Buffalo perhaps?

http://www.batanghari.go.id/images/photo/2.jpg

They don't taste as good as cow meat.

Yo Mama
01-28-2008, 06:59 PM
Small island. Did it have the water buffalo to spare?

My ex, though he's a lying freak, said he'd had dog in Chiang Mai and that was dog.

Maybe he was just stirring me up.

I sure wished I like seafood while I was there. But the extremely fresh chicken (they'll kill your dinner after you order it) was lovely!

JiveTurkey
01-28-2008, 08:15 PM
I have been fed dog before (without my prior knowledge) and it wasn't too terribly bad. Though, nothing like cow. Yum.

Yo Mama
01-28-2008, 10:05 PM
I'll eat anything that doesn't run away fast enough. It wasn't so much the fact I thought I was eating dog, as the false advertising.

JiveTurkey

Yo Mama

Oh no, now that I said it, I'm going to have to go to Whole Foods today for some ostrich burgers.

Is there a salivating smiley? ...

Buffalo is excellent if you have not had it. Gives me mean heartburn though for some reason.

Yo Mama
01-29-2008, 11:12 AM
Mmmm buffalo. I got some fresh ground buffalo at the farmer's market a while back and made the most succulent shepherd's pie with it.

Ground buffalo as in put through the grinder. Not the kind with no legs.

Bad joke. Sorry.

I had a hard time eating kangaroo for some reason. It felt wrong. Venison is good. Wild boar is awesome. Not so fond of crocodile. Too fishy.

Bitchkoma
01-29-2008, 12:34 PM

Yo Mama

Hedgehog?! Never had the opportunity for that.

Must not have a lot of meat on them, though. But at least it comes with toothpicks.

Bitchkoma
01-29-2008, 12:52 PM
Yeah, we actually used the spines like it was a kebab stick-thingy. Not that much meat, but not that bad an amount either. Kinda like the same amount you'd get from spring chicken.

Donut roasted hedgehog.

Sounds very much like something Homer Simpson would eat.

Bitchkoma
01-29-2008, 03:28 PM
But I don't like doughnuts. I prefer currypuffs:

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a39/Gluttonisland/currypuff-3.gif

Have you tried it? I think they should have it in Thailand. Not sure if they do where you went. Around Pattani and Pattaya they should have it I think.

They even look like hedgehogs

Yo Mama
01-29-2008, 06:01 PM
Currypuffs? Don't remember seeing those.

But then, the fried roaches and scorpions in Patpong pretty much scared me off from looking at any more sidewalk vendor stalls.

I just got back from the new Whole Foods they built about half a mile away. Wow! How deluxe! It makes the one in Berkeley look pitiful in comparison. It's like a huge Costco of organic food.

And wouldn't you know it, they were out of ostrich? Now I'm craving ostrich and there is none to be had. I got some buffalo steaks, though. Not that I could really afford those at the end of the month, but I need exotic meat NOW.

I got out of there for less than $25. That in itself should qualify as a miracle, if I believed in such things.

Kangaroo is great tucker,
lived off that up north for ages when out bush,
needs a good tenderising first though.
Croc's not so great, i never got the taste for it either.
Now witchity grubs, theres a good way to keep the caterpillars down, mmmmm...yummy.

Yo Mama
01-30-2008, 10:44 AM
Mmmm. the buffalo was yummy! I fried potatoes too, crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside -- good redneck food.

I got out of Whole Foods under $25 by buying only four items.

Iamsix
01-30-2008, 10:54 AM
Ahhh thats not redneck food. Thats real food....Meat is YUMMY

Yo Mama
01-30-2008, 10:58 AM
True, the potatoes weren't truly redneck food, because I didn't have a big tub of bacon grease to fry them in. I used olive oil.

Iamsix
01-30-2008, 10:59 AM
Nothing wrong with olive oil. I use it to cook at the station.

Yo Mama
01-30-2008, 11:00 AM
But if I was sticking with my true redneck roots I'd have the bacon grease on hand.

Of course my cholesterol doesn't need it, but it's only really comfort food if it's slathered in bacon grease.

That has always puzzled me, perhaps DFB can shed some light:

If vegetarians don't like meat, why go to all those lengths to make meat substitutes?

Tofurkey, facon, tofu, hufu (http://www.damninteresting.com/?p=168).

Ugh, and then there's quorn (http://www.quorn.com/). Ew.

Because most vegetarian cooks have had their taste buds shot off in the war.

When I was active in the local Unitarian church (that was when the majority of memberrs were atheists and agnostics) I felt sorry for the vegetarians so when there were potlucks I'd make things like Indian dishes, jambalaya, mulligatawny, gazpacho, honky black eyed peas, etc. and leave out the meat that I would have normally put in. I quickly learned that rather than the traditional eight servings, I'd make, say two or three gallons of the stuff and bring a batch of jars. Then all the vegetarians would come over and ask if I had any left over. I'd ladle out jars full and have them donate a few bucks to the church for each jar.

They don't need meat substitutes, but most of them haven't any idea how to cook so they try to duplicate what they ate before they became vegetarians. Unfortunately, most people aren't creative enough to figure out how to make something taste good when removing and replacing traditional ingredients.

Yo Mama
02-04-2008, 10:46 PM
That's the best explanation I've heard to date on this subject.

It's like some vegetarian friends I know: tofurkey for Thanksgiving. I don't think tofu was something the pilgrims had access to.

Occam
02-05-2008, 03:57 AM
Yeah, a vegetarian friend extoled the virtues of tofuckey, (whoops, did I misspell that? :) ) and gave me a serving of the left over. I took it home, heated it in the microwave, took one bite, and put it out for the feral cat. The next day it was still there, and I'm sure it had been evaluated by the local skunks, possums, and racoons as well as the cat.

While vegetarians are much less nefarious, I get the feeling that they have the same mind set about their belief as do religious fundamentalists - totally irrational.

I eat very little meat or cheese because of cardiac problems, but I'll be damned if I'll give up flavor.
