View Full Version : Why I Hate the MSM and The General Public at Large

While Heath Ledger wasn't my favorite actor, he certainly did a couple of AWESOME films and his passing (along with Brad Renfro) did touch me a bit.

Today, I happened to turn the television on and Entertainment Tonight was on.

The first thing I hear is: "That's right folks, it was Entertainment Tonight who made sure we were able to have our camera's there as they removed his body from his home last night".

Okay, I fully understand that "stars" make a sacrifice for their "fame" when it comes to being harassed by the papanazi.

BUT, death is death and, at the end of the day, stars ARE people too and GODDAMNIT they deserve a bit of respect in death just like those of us who aren't "fortunate" enough to make millions by making movies.

With all of the fucking bullshit going on in the world today (IE: the stuff we talk about here and at ATS), you would think that the MSM could find something a BIT more important than the death of Heath Ledger.

Which leads me to why I hate the general public.

The MSM would NOT be running stuff like this into the ground and TOTALLY stomping over the memories of HUMAN BEINGS if there weren't a LARGE number of the American public watching religiously.

COME THE FUCK ON PEOPLE!!!

We are in a war for profit in Iraq.

GREAT Presidential candidates are being completely screwed in what is called a "free and just" country.

Our civil liberties have been pissed on by the politicians (on behalf of the special interest groups) for decades.

The Amerikan ekonomy is in the TOILET.

Yet, disrespecting the memory and death of a "celebrity" is what you want to see and hear?

You make me fucking sick.

dude i could not agree more.
whats worse the poor bastard happened to be australian so we've copped hours upon hours of interviews with school teachers, long lost friends, spurned lovers etc etc etc. give me a fuckin break, cause the guy made a few films and squillions of dollars his life is somehow more important than some 17 year old kid shootin his life away in an alley somewhere else in the world.
this is in no way meant to devalue his life and his accomplishments, lol, well it is in a way i guess.
sorry folks, but big deal. theres hell more important shit goin on all over the world right now.

(edit to add) do you ever get the feeling that you are the only person in the world that has any idea of what is going on, i get that feeling everytime some celebrity fucks up and kills themselves.

Indeed!

Even if Ledger pissed his life away of his own accord, he STiLL deserves the respect all of us deserve in death.

The fuckin papanazi and the media outlets that pay them make me physically ill! (said like R. Lee Ermey)

He's dead, let the man rest in peace. His body should NOT be a spectacle for the world and fodder to increase ratings.

Morality is dead.

As a side note:

I'm seriously coming to Australia. Can you get me work so I don't have to sleep in a tree?

Cool. Get them to make the week long drive to and from Georgia (or we could fly out of Atlanta or Jacksonville) and I'm on my fuckin way.

Yea, I'm serious.

I live the life of a nomad. I can pick up and leave any time I choose.

The only problem is having the money and job when I get there haha.
