I prefer van Buuren over Tiesto. He's overrated and tends to get all the credit. I'm so sick of playing a track, and then getting people around me asking

"Hey, that's Tiesto, isn't it?"

"Fuck you, it's Holden & Thompson."

"Then the previous track was Tiesto?"

"Fuck you again, it's Blank & Jones."

"Tiesto rocks!"

In case any headbangers are around, dont hold this against me but i love mixing and sampling. I use "reason" which is a bloody good program for beginners.
I must add that most of the dance and techno that i make is pretty hardcore,ie it always has a lot of metal guitar samples and heaps of drum and bass.

i have pretty eclectic(sp) taste in music...
there is very little country that i like...bout the only one is johnny cash. same with rap...i can deal with wyclef and thats about it...

i like jam stuff like the dead and phish.
of course damn near all the classic rock you can think of...

the past 6 months or so i have been getting pretty heavy into jazz fusion and progressive stuff. instrumentals with extended improvisation.

i listen to frank the most though...his catalogue is so vast that i have yet to hear every song....i listen to a lot of white stripes and also world music...

i love anoushka shankar on the sitar....i like classical...
i just bought the entire chopin collection played by reubenstein. i like hilary hahn on the violin. yo yo on the cello.
braum, vivaldi, bach, beethoven....

yeah..that about covers it.
