Back in the 1950's an interesting site was discovered in Turkey and excavation began. 50 years later and there are still many mystery's remaining surrounding this archaeological site.
Catalhoyuk was a bustling city of approximately 10000 people about 10000 years ago. Was this the first city, why did they bury their relatives under the floor, what do the murals mean, are these statues religious....
This is a fantastic interactive site for anyone that would like to understand more about how these digs are undertaken and what sort of questions they are trying to answer, i hope you enjoy.

OK I'm bumping all this shit and reviving Amkon.

What gems lie hidden in the dusty 08 vaults of yore? Most of that vault was evacuated in the Great Amkon Colonic of '09. What Mojo was doing there was sinking a ship in the shallows to create a reef. Amkon was lacking in content in those times and was searching for a reason to be- to shuck the negativity of its inception as a simple reaction to the vagaries of ATS in favor of becoming a unique and creative culture. And he succeeded. Much of the success of this site is owing to the Monkey's perseverance. I think it can be safely said that, but for him, we would not have survived as a community.
