So, let's assume that reincarnation is a fact.
Let's also assume that you can be reincarnated into any point in human history or future.
When would you choose to be born?
Where?
and
Why?

Myself, I'd choose to be reborn into the golden age of piracy.
Something about pillaging at sea and scurvy just draws me in hahah

Well, DAMMIT MAN!
My dreams of piracy and the ravaging effects of scurvy aren't good enough?

Okay then, I would choose to be reborn to an Amerikan Indian family about 70 years before the white man arrived.
Evil white folks!

Piracy is serious stuff man. Hollywood glorifies it and shit, but it's serious stuff.
I live in an area where piracy has and always will be a danger, it's no laughing matter.

All Hail the Orang Laut (Sea People)
Speaking of Hollywood glorification of something that was a menace in the past, I wonder how, say 500 years from now the entertainment industry will glorify terrorists? (hahahha... yeah... it'll happen. I'm from the future.)
Anyway on topic, I'd like to get back to the same region I'm from, circa 12,345 BC. Preferably with knowledge of everything I already know. Yep. You've heard of the legend of Lemuria? That was me. Mu wasn't in the Pacific. It was between the Pacific and the Indian Ocean. Back then when the sea levels were low the Sunda Shelf was exposed, I set me up a glorious empire when the rest of the world was freezing their balls and asshats off. Then the frakkin' historians just as they do today went and twisted the whole thing up and moved the centre seed point of civilization to the Atlantic (how typical of Westerners  ) and they over-attributed the technology (I didn't teach nobody about guns and atom bombs... they were being wankers with bronze age weapons, so I figured, hell no)
But genetics don't lie... read up about it... trace the path of the mitochondrial DNA after the Second Great Migration out of Africa... years of lingering about Kazakhstan, followed by a wave towards the world's piracy hotspot (why not, there be the gold). The bronze age started at my coordinates. The most stable location with a climate that hasn't changed since the time of the dinosaurs.

I'd want to live in biblical times, maybe the 1700s... The biblical times for sure.

I would have to say mid to late 1800's. Wild west times. Robbing federal train cars and gunfights in the middle of town. Sign me the # up.

Mesopotamia, oh about 4500bc.
Why? its a secret!!
Btw jasn, theres a pretty good chance that Piracy began in that
general area at around 3000bc. That imo should be the golden age
of piracy. Cicilian pirates kidnapped Julius Caesar in 75bc, that
would of been fun, mind you he hunted them down and had them
killed after the ransom was paid. :D

I'd like to be born again in 1930 with my present knowledge. As a chemist I'd know how to sneak some sterilizing hormones into the water of a certain Texas ranch. Then we'd have a problem with not being able to elect a certain president and his Florida governor brother. Then there are people like Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell. To quote Gilbert & Sullivan, "I don't think they'd be missed. I'm sure they'd not be missed."
